November 16 ThankfullnessAhhh..It is that time of year again. Smells of cookies baking and cinnamon and apple smells. Pumpkin spice, and the simple Thankfullness of the season. I am thankful for so many things in my life. To have an honest, faithful, loving husband who loves me so immensly. All I have to do is look at him and I can feel how much he loves me. He is my best friend. I am thankful that he is such a good provider and father to the kids. His kids as well as mine. They all love their daddy so much, and he is so good with and to them. I am thankful to my children for loving me and still needing me. I am thankful that I have been blessed with them. Not only have I been blessed with my children, I have been blessed with 2 stepchildren who call me mom also. That is a very special thing in itself. ...I am thankful that even when we dont realize it, GOD is always watching over us and helps us to bear through many times in our lives when we didnt think he was listening. I am thankful for my extended family members even though we dont talk or see eachother as much as I would like.....I am thankful for my health. I am thankful for the peace my household feels , I just wish the rest of the world could feel that too. November 01 Good MorningGood Morning everyone. I am new to spaces and love reading blogs. I have 6 children. 4 are my own and 2 step . In the end they are all mine, and special in their own way. Of course there are days I think I may pull out my hair, days that I know they must hate me for trying to steer them in the right direction, thats when even wehn they are punished to their room for something they have done, I still get the "I love you" and the hug and kisses. When my oldest (who has decided his father has less rules,and lives within a 5 minute walk so he will stay there) comes over and still hugs me and kisses me (sometimes)...It is at these times that i realize, hey, maybe I'm, not so bad.
No matter how much money we have or don't have it is inevitable that my children will never get every thing they want. I cannot afford the ipods for all or the expensive video games. I am a thrifty shopper and do not shop at the high dollar stores nor do I frequent the local mall. But I hope that they are happy with what they have and what I DO do when I can do. I guess I won't really know until they are grown and gone. My oldest is upset with me because he is almost 16 and I have yet to take him to get his permit to drive. There are numerous reasons why I can't and haven't, but try explaining that to a teenager....
